What is the difference between Student Quiz Responses and Let Students See The Correct Answers?

In Canvas quizzes you can allow students to see their responses and correct answers after quiz submissions and during specific dates based on what settings you choose.

If you only check Let Students See Their Quiz Responses [1], then they will be able to see whether their responses are correct or incorrect. If incorrect, they will not be provided with the correct answer. Please note that in this scenario students can see their responses at any time after taking the quiz.

❗Because these are submitted responses, they are independent of Quiz Available From and Until dates.

If you check Let Students See Their Quiz Responses [1] and Only Once After Each Attempt [2], then students will only be able to see their responses (marked correct or incorrect) once immediately after taking the quiz.

See Correct Answers

You can also provide the correct answers and limit their availability during a specified time. Check Let Students See Their Responses [1] and Let Students See The Correct Answers [2]. Enter the Show [3] and Hide [4] Correct Answer fields.

Attention! If you check Only Once After Each Attempt [#], then the Show and Hide Correct Answers boxes are disabled.
