Video Platform Survey

You have had the opportunity to use Kaltura for a while now and recently were introduced to Canvas Studio. This survey will give you a chance to weigh in on your thoughts on these two video platforms for use in the Online Classroom environment.

Before taking the survey, I encourage you to watch the video of the demonstration session below that was held on Wednesday, April 15th, if you haven't yet. I also encourage you to take a look at both Kaltura and Studio and really compare the two using the features that you use or plan to use, to see how they work for you. Studio is currently available as a pilot for you to use in your classes through the end of the month, as it would be if we subscribed. The Quiz function was not available during the demo but is now fully functioning.

The sales rep has also provided some links for Screencast-O-matics: Here are a couple of links that might be helpful as faculty look into the functionality here. This link is just a simple guide to walk you through how to record a video using the screen capture. This link will help you take a deeper look into Screencast-O-matic functionality and will show you tutorial videos from Screencast-O-matics. 

As you do your evaluation, if you have colleagues at other schools like Coastal Alabama, Enterprise State, or Trenholm State who have been using Studio, ask them what their experience has been.

The survey will be available for you to provide your feedback until April 30th. Then, based on that feedback, we will determine whether the Shelton State community prefers to stay with Kaltura or make a shift to Studio.
