When teaching the same courses over several semesters, there is no greater gift of time than the Canvas Course Copy process. I think that at least some of us were lucky enough in grade school to be permitted opportunities to assist our teachers in their course copy process using a mimeograph machine like the one to the left. At the start of each semester, I still see faculty spending hours at a copy machine getting ready for their students by copying piles of syllabi and handouts. Believe me when I tell you that Canvas Course Copy is easier on you and easier on the environment.

Luckily (or unluckily perhaps to some), technology has greatly improved since then, and the Canvas course copy process is a good example. Using course copy, not only can you copy the entire contents of one Canvas course into another, but you can also adjust the dues date to fit the new semester's calendar. Also, you can just as easily copy individual items from a course, or selected modules, or the quiz banks, or course files.
